Nearby Places To Go To

Gettysburg Battlefield
The Gettysburg Battlefield is the area of the July 1–3, 1863, military engagements of the Battle of Gettysburg within and around the borough of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Locations of military engagements extend from the 4-acre (1.6 ha) site of the first shot at Knoxlyn Ridge on the west of the borough, to East Cavalry Field on the east. A military engagement prior to the battle was conducted at the Gettysburg Railroad trestle over Rock Creek, which was burned on June 27.
Hershey Park
Hersheypark is a family theme park located in Hershey, Pennsylvania, about 15 miles east of Harrisburg, and 95 miles west of Philadelphia. The park was founded in 1906 by Milton S. Hershey as a leisure park for the employees of the Hershey Chocolate Company.
Amish Country
The story of the Pennsylvania Amish community dates back to the 16th century Reformation in Europe, when the Anabaptist movement spurred the creation of three "plain" communities: the Amish, Mennonites and Brethren. Although these spiritual groups have similarities, the Amish are the most conservative, emphasizing humility, family, community and separation from the non-Amish world, which includes a reluctance to adopt modern conveniences such as electricity.

First weekend of trying out the new camper. The campground here is really nice and I was surprised to see their pool is still open. This place is great if you have young kids with good playgrounds, lots of open green space, and a really nice camp store with snacks. The camp sites are pretty compact, which is normal for a commercial campground. If you want larger sites then need to check into state, national, or military campgrounds, but you'll give up some amenities. One last comment on the bath houses, which there are only 2, but both are outstanding.

Just wanted to say my husband and I enjoyed our tour with Kiah! We didn’t purchase a membership at this time but do plan to keep it in mind. Kiah was informative, friendly, and upfront. We both appreciated her time! Also, we loved the cabins! They’re clean, rustic, and pet friendly!
